In the NCCN Clinical Practice Guidelines in Oncology for Head and Neck Cancers, published in the June issue of JNCCN (2011;9:596-650), an error occurred on pages 607, 613, 618, and 641. The footnotes marked “2” on page 607 and “3” on page 613, and the first sentence under the heading “Chemoradiation” on page 618, should have read: “Based on published data, concurrent chemoradiation most commonly uses conventional fractionation at 2.0 Gy per fraction...”
On page 641, the last sentence of the second paragraph of the Newly Diagnosed Advanced Disease section should have read “Single-agent cisplatin plus radiotherapy is effective and easy to administer, and typically uses conventional fractionation at 2.0 Gy/fraction to 70 Gy or more in 7 weeks, with single-agent cisplatin given every 3 weeks at 100 mg/m2 (see page 618).150”
