Enrollment in high-quality clinical trials makes the greatest impact on the lives of patients with cancer now and on those who will be diagnosed in the future. A recent session at the NCCN 2025 Annual Conference focused on understanding the barriers to accessing clinical trials among underrepresented patients with cancer, as well as developing innovative solutions to reverse this trend. A clinical trial expert shared her insights on the importance of promoting clinical trials at cancer centers, the areas of opportunity to increase access for diverse patient populations, and how advances in technology are helping provide a more patient-focused approach to trial enrollment.
